Children's Enrichment Center

The month of May has been busy for us.  We’ve been learning about flowers blooming and planting gardens and the chirping birds. We shared Cinco de Mayo with Dora the Explorer and even practiced counting in Spanish.  Quesadillas, chips and salsa were a delicious snack!  It was fun making our moms a gift for Mother’s Day.  Did they keep it a secret?  I apologize for those that went home late.

As we continue to spend sunny days outside, it is important that you apply sunscreen every morning.  Please remember the proper footwear as well.

Our live caterpillars have arrived!  We will watch them grow and transform into full butterflies.  They are in the craft room right next to “Goofy” our fish.  Many of the children are familiar with the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar and love to hear it and read along.

It is hard to believe that our school year is coming to an end in just a few weeks.  We have had the pleasure of watching your child grow in many ways.  Learning to share, taking turns, mastering puzzles, singing new songs, counting, recognizing letters and being kind to our friends are some of the things that come to mind when we think of the many accomplishments each child has made.

It has truly been a delight sharing this time with your children.  Thank you for allowing us to provide them the opportunity to grow and learn at CEC.
