Board of Director's Notes
Hello CEC Families,
We are having a fun fall at CEC!
Apple-picking was great and the Halloween parades
were adorable. Special thanks to the teachers for their
hard work and creative ideas in making it exciting
for the children. The Yankee Candle Fundraiser was a
success again – thanks to all who participated – it is
wonderful for the school.
When looking for a preschool, longevity is key both in
terms of school existence and teacher experience. You
may already know that CEC turns 20 this February!
And the 3’s teacher Ms. Diane has been here for 18
years! The total years of combined teaching
experience equals more than 100 years – with the
“newest” member of our staff being here eight years
(with the exception of the UPK program). Our Mardi
Gras event in February will be a perfect way to
celebrate our 20 years of educating children!

Drive-Thru Drop Off & Pick Up
CEC started our drive thru drop off and pick up. Only the first 2 cars at the “GREEN MAN” should be getting their child in or out of the car.
Please remember to use your “Blue Cards” with your child’s name on them. They fit great on the back of your sun shade on the passenger side.
Please park if you need to talk to a teacher or are dropping off school supplies.Memory Book Tidbits
We are accepting Business ads for our year end memory book.
Do you have any photos from a CEC event that are just too cute? Well Pam Chiaino at pam12271@yahoo.com is happy to share them with all CEC in our memory book!
Tuition
Tutition is due on the 1st of the month. No bill will be sent home. Any tuition payment received after the 10th of the month is subject to a $10.00 late fee.
General Notes
Carousel Cake and Pie Sale – Information will go out the week of November 9th. They are DE-LISH! Both the cakes and pies can be frozen for up to 3 months. Pick up will be on November 23 or November 24th.
Class Pictures – Will be on November 19th and 20th. We are using Sunflower Portraits. We used them last year and the pictures turned out great! We should be able to have a quick turnaround time, so you will have photos in time for the holidays.
Holiday Boutique – November 21, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Manse Barn. We will have vendors from Discovery Toys, Party Lite, Mary Kay, Creative Memories, as well as local crafts. We have a few tables still available. Table fee is $15.00, plus a donation to our Mardi Gras raffle tables.
Thanksgiving Feast - Will be on November 23rd & 24th. All are welcome to the feast. Parent volunteers are needed to help please let your teachers know how you can help.
Computers – CEC is need of one to three computers. The ones we have now are very out dated and are slowly dying on us. 2 computers would be used in the classroom and one in the office. If you or any one you know is getting a new computer, please consider donating the older one to CEC.
Fire Fly Book Club – This is a great way to build up your child library. Plus CEC will get credit to build up their library too!
Snow Days - Can’t believe we are talking about snow already! You can check the CEC website to see if CEC will have a delay or is closed. cec@cecpreschool.com Or you can sign up at http://www.socsd.k12.ny.us/emergencynotification.htm and they will send you an email alert.
January 11, 2010 – 2nd General Meeting at 7:30pm. We will start the enrollment process this night, which is a first come first enrolled policy. This year’s 2 year old class filled up by March. We will also discuss the UPK process. We will also talk about our GREAT Summer Camp
