Children's Enrichment Center

Due to weather delays our Olympic events and discussions will conclude this week with some class participation and crafts.

Tuesday March 2^nd marks Theodor Seuss Geisel’s (a.k.a. Dr. Seuss) 106^th birthday. We will celebrate by reading two of his most famous stories, The Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham. As well as tasting green eggs at snack time.

We have done some fun activities with sound, smell and touch and will be finishing up with sight and taste in the next two weeks. Please talk with your children about some of the things we have done with each of the senses. It will be interesting to know what stood out to them.

We will begin to explore the Ocean, which was introduced last week with the letter “O”, with various activities incorporating the letters P,Q,R and the number 5. Many books will be at the children’s disposal on all things involving the ocean.

Lastly, we will be discussing opposites all month as well. Like over/under, open/close, up/down, in/out, big/little, more/less, loud/quiet, on/off, young/old, and stop/go. You might want to review these as well in your day to day time with them.
